Talk : Evolution Co-operation and Us
Title: Evolution Co-operation and Us
Date and Time: 14th Tuesday, 4 pm to 5 pm (**Tea and snacks will be served**)
Venue: L3
Abstract:
The talk will be centered around evolutionary games, in a structured as well as unstructured environment. Till our work, evolutionary game theory was developed keeping in mind an assumption--which is--only one mutation is possible at a time in a population. We have developed the theory of the effect of multiple simultaneous mutations on a population, and showed the non triviality of the concept. We have analysed the game in a structured environment, and we have seen some immediate connection of this concept with Behavioral Game Theory. We have hypothesized our claim about this connection between the effect of multiple mutation on a population and the fairness concept in behavioral games. We will discuss a case of Hindu-Muslim conflict in post independence India to explain this connection. If time permits, we will go on to show a small case of bribery game, to show why the "evolutionary" concept or "learning" concept is important to consider while analyzing real world scenarios.
