Background

The IEC (Humans) was constituted by the Director of the institute vide office order number Reg-30(2)/2022/IITRPR/243, dated 7 June 2022. The committee has received provisional approval from the National Ethics Committee Registry for Biomedical and Health Research (NECRBHR), Department of Health Research, Government of India, (Application No. EC/NEW/INST/2022/3014, dated: 26 September 2022) on 4 January 2023. The IEC will be administered by the Dean (Research and Development).

 

The committee aims to establish a fair and consistent assessment process for proposals submitted to it for review. The IEC will consider protocols involving research on human subjects, biological samples from human subjects, and data from human subjects.

Note: The informed consent documents, IEC 103, IEC 104, and IEC 105, are model documents, and PI can modify them to fit the specifications of their specific researc

 .  Completed Form IEC 101 or IEC 102, depending on your proposal

. Signed Undertaking by the PI and co-PI

. Completed relevant Informed Consent Document (ICF) in English and vernacular languages (where applicable)

. Questionnaire/Feedback Form, if any, in English and vernacular languages (where applicable)

. Supporting documents, if any (relevant approvals, if you have)

. CV of PI & co-PI
