Abstract:

A multiphase lattice Boltzmann method approach suitable for liquid-liquid systems will be discussed. The algorithm is implemented on a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), which gives a speed-up of 25 times over the corresponding CPU based solver. In this talk, we will discuss the various instability patterns observed in the displacement flow of one fluid by another one, having different fluid properties, in two and three-dimensional channels.
