Abstract:
GARUDA is a collaboration of scientific and technological researchers on a nationwide grid comprising of computational nodes, mass storage and scientific instruments. Funded by Department of Information Technology, GARUDA aims to provide e-Infrastructure for echnological advances required to enable data and compute intensive science for the 21st century. The Operation Phase GARUDA endeavors to provide a stable, robust and efficient rid environment with guaranteed Quality of Service for various applications. Grid puts one abstraction layer above High Performance Computing System, facilitating co-ordinate and distributed sharing of resources across different geographical locations and under multiple administrative domains. 

The aim of this presentation will be: 

To brief Garuda Architecture, Certification procedure, Garuda access mechanism, Data Grid solution, details about Garuda tools & services etc. 

Appointing Registration Authority for India Grid Certification Authority .

 

The objective of this visit is to make Garuda grid more accessible by the application developers and users. We also take the feedback and 

understand user requirements. This event is focused on promoting Garuda usage  and more application enablement on grid.
