Biography: 
Dr. Seth is a Visiting Faculty in the Department of Computer Science and Enginnering at IIT, Ropar. He received his PhD in Physics from Northwestern University, Evanston, Il, USA in 1976. After a brief career in research in Physics, he switched to industry and worked with Tata Buroughs/Tata Infotech for 15 years. He was subsequently Vice President, Information Technology, with Phil Corporation group of companies. He then taught BE and ME courses at Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Goa, for 3 years. He was consulting with Mobera Systems in Chandigarh for four years from 2007 till 2010.
Areas of Research: 
Application of Information Technology.
use of Open Source software and Python programming environments as a way to get the most cost effective solutions for applying information technology.
