Dr. Satwinder Jit Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar. He obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His research interests lie in applied mechanics, numerical methods and finite dimensional approximations for systems with memory, and applications of fractional-order calculus in engineering problems. On the teaching side, he offers courses such as Advanced Calculus, Continuum Mechanics, Control Engineering Laboratory, Engineering Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Nonlinear Oscillations, and Theory of Machines.
