Presently serving as Associate Professor at IIT Ropar, Dr. Ekta Singla had successfully completed her tenure as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Ropar during 2018-2021 and presently serving as Secretary, The Robotics Society (TRS) India. She is a recipient of various awards and possesses an experience of more than 20 years in the field of Robotics. Her current research interests include Robotics for Industry 4.0, Exoskeleton designs, optimal robotic assistance in vertical farming and Customized robots for service and maintenance applications. Her contribution is visible through the projects contributions with total grant of 5 Cr, various international and industrial collaborations, 90+ Journal articles and conference publications in the field of Robotics and 60+ invites for special lectures and panel discussions. She has been serving as Associate/Guest editor at reputed journals and has been contributing for various societies. She had been the programme chair of the prestigious International Conference – Advances In Robotics 2023 at IIT Ropar, which is the flagship premier conference of TRS. To her credit are several contributions in organizing events for uplifting interdisciplinary learnings and robotics in India.
