Dr. Chander Shekhar Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich, where he also served as Senior Scientist & Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher. Prior to his academic career, he worked in industry as Lead Engineer at General Motors Technical Center India.
His research lies broadly in thermal and fluid sciences, with special expertise in micro‐scale thermal transport and surface engineering. Key topics he works on include phase change phenomena, surface micro‐ and nano‐structuring, electronic thermal management, and both single‐phase and multiphase convective cooling.
