CMPIR
Collaborative Master Project with IIT Ropar
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Ropar, is pleased to announce the launch of the Collaborative Master Project with IIT Ropar (CMPIR).
Under this program, students who are already pursuing a master’s degree at an institute in India can enhance the quality of their master’s project through the expertise and research facilities available at IIT Ropar. Selected students will be mentored by a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Ropar, throughout their master’s project. They will also have the opportunity to utilize the state-of-the-art research facilities at IIT Ropar for their project work.
We invite applications from motivated students for the CMPIR program, subject to the following requirements:
The applicant should be currently pursuing an M.Tech. and must have successfully completed the first year of the program. At the time of application, the applicant must have at least one semester remaining before completion of the M.Tech.
The applicant should be able to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent institute or their research supervisor at the parent institute.
The selected student is required to stay at IIT Ropar for a minimum period of three months. Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability.
The Department has the final authority in selecting candidates, based on their CV and research interests. No further correspondence regarding the selection decision will be entertained.
No financial assistance will be provided by IIT Ropar.

Application Deadline
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Candidates are encouraged to apply well in advance of their intended project start date.
