Prof. Anupam Agrawal is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, specializing in optimal blank shape design and wrinkling in axisymmetric multistage deep drawing, after completing his M.Tech. at IIT Kharagpur and B.E. at MMM Engineering College, Gorakhpur. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Clemson University, USA, and a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University, Chicago, under an Indo-US project.
Dr. Agrawal’s research spans manufacturing systems engineering, sheet metal forming, liquid droplet erosion, and design optimization. He has successfully executed sponsored research and consultancy projects worth over ₹2.5 crore, and holds a patent on a Simplified Liquid Droplet Erosion Tester. With over 50 international journal papers, 40+ conference presentations, 7 book chapters, and a book publication, his scholarly contributions are widely recognized.
Dr. Agrawal is also a member of ASME, serves as a reviewer for several reputed international journals, and has contributed actively to global academic networks in manufacturing and materials engineering.
