About

I am a philosopher of technology by choice and an environmental humanities researcher somewhat by accident. Trained broadly in analytic philosophy, particularly the metaphysics of science, I spent a good part of my academic life worrying about scientific realism, while reality remained largely unconcerned! Teaching philosophy in engineering institutes gradually turned my attention from what science says about the world to what technology does to it, and to us. My work now centres on philosophy of technology, especially questions of existence, responsibility, and technological rationality. Funded projects and collaborations have meanwhile taken me from metaphysics to forests, elephants, tribal communities, and, more recently, AI data centres. Across these rather unlikely companions, I remain interested in one broad question: **what happens to our ways of living when science and technology reorganize our relationships with the world, with other humans, and with everything that is not human?**
