Philosophy of Technoscience

 

HSS Conference- "The Philosophy of Technoscience: Epistemological and EthicalReflections" (February 23-24, 2019)

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences recently conducted a conference titled “Philosophy of Technoscience: Epistemological and Ethical Reflections on February 23-24, 2019. The conference contained two-panel discussions on the theme “Has Science and Technology Converged into Technoscience?”. The conference also consisted of several individual paper presentations. Scholars from all over the country as well as from abroad (on skype) participated in the conference. Discussions on the future of technological and scientific knowledge in the context of human existence, policy implications, the notion of risk and uncertainty, difficulties with confirmation of evidence and, ethical issues in relation to human and animal experiments were discussed at length.
