National Involvement

> In the national front, IIT Ropar is deeply involved in the national level IMPRINT (Impacting Research Innovation and Technology) initiative.

> Several of our faculty members are directly involved in providing a road map for our country in the domains of energy, healthcare, environmental science and climate change, nanotechnology hardware, advanced materials, etc.

> IIT Ropar is currently focusing on innovative research with great societal impact such as modular high altitude habitat, vehicle classification through artificial intelligence, armour optimization, water-air-soil pollution, low cost machine for stubble burning, ether and siloxane functionalized ionic liquids and their mixtures as electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicle, dioxygen reduction by nitrogen-rich mesoporous carbon bearing electrodeposited silver particles, manufacturing, renewable energy and microgrid, robotics, mobile aps to help visually impaired to identify currency and early diagnosis of cancer by infrared technique.

> We are also actively involved in several other national initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, just to name a few.
