"To bring a revolution in the field of Telemedicine by making our idea sustainable and providing medical facilities to villagers with modern technology so as to save their money and time."

Community

A cluster of 9 villages consisting of Ahmedpura , Alipur , Daloh , Chararian , Dhangouli , Makori, Chakkaran , Mansali and Dugri situated around district Rupnagar is our community. Dugri is a center to all these villages. This bunch comprises of 10,000 people .Residents of these villages are basically farmers, daily wage workers, cattlemen and small shopkeepers. Average income of an adult villager is Rs 5,000 per month. Many villages in this set lacks clean water supply which is the main cause for water borne diseases like Typhoid, Dysentery and many others. Also villagers are suffering from joint problems and diabetes. These villages consist of a large no of cattle which is also a big slice of income of villagers. But these cattle are also affected by filthy water supply. In these villages there isn’t any medical facility or medical shops. If villagers face any medical problem they have to come Rupnagar or Ghanauli after travelling a distance of at least 10 kms. There aren’t any steps taken by government in direction of this problem. People have to spend minimum 500 bucks for a single visit to doctor, but it’s quite over the budget for a villager with this income. As a result of long distance from cities people are lacking of the medical support they are in need. At the extreme of dusk, villagers have to face problems regarding any medical issue, for this the reasons are self-explanatory. All the problems leads to waste of time, money and energy of villagers. There are also many other undescribed problems which arise when any villager in this cluster is encountered by any medical issue.

Approach

Our community consists of 9 villages namely Ahmedpura, Alipur, Daloh, Chararian, Dhangaouli, Makori, Chak Karan, Mansali & Dugri. The central village here is Dugri. The total population of these villages is around 10,000. By the information collected through our surveys the major problem encountered by the villagers is the lack of medical facilities. Thus our project is focused on providing medical facilities in these villages. As this project involves setting up of medical centres, so this project has huge potential for generating job opportunities, income and profit as well.

Following are the steps which are to be followed under our project:

  1. 1. Finding resources like internet, space, workers and equipment for setup of tele medicine centre.
  2. 2. Setting up of tele-medicine centre in the village Dugri.
  3. 3. Finding solution for veterinary medical situation.
  4. 4. Making the facility self-sustainable and also socially and economically profitable.
  5. 5. Establishing more such tele-medicine centres in other villages deprived of medical facilities.

Vision

To bring a revolution in the field of Telemedicine by making our idea sustainable and providing medical facilities to villagers with modern technology so as to save their money and time.
